Abstract
This study aimed at describing the character of educational planning in SMA N 12 Semarang, describing the implementation of character education in SMA N 12 Semarang and describing the evaluation of character education in SMA N 12 Semarang. The data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation and validated by using triangulation of the data. The data were analyzed by using the flow model of Miles and Hubberman.
The results of this study devided into three parts, which are 1) the planning of character education in SMAN 12 Semarang divided through a variety of activities including the learning, co-curricular and extracurricular, development and also habituation activities; 2) the implementation of character education in SMAN 12 Semarang which contained in Civics and Religion subjects, scout activity as an extracurricular, flag ceremony, and learning school activities; and 3) the evaluation of character education in SMAN 12 Semarang was devided into four aspects: evaluation of character education implementation, evaluation in extracurricular activities, development activities and the implementation of character education in SMA 12 Semarang. The result showed several improvement, such as the decreasing of the number of students who come late, the increasing of the number of students who wearing the proper uniform, the increasing of the number of students who keep the cleanliness. The implementation of 3S was getting better.
