The 5th IConSSE 2023

IConSSE (International Conference on Science and Science Education) is a biennial international seminar held by the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), of which IConSSE 2023 is the fifth event.

This year, two conference will be held, IConMaP (International Conference on Mathematics and Physics) and IConBiC (International Conference on Biology and Chemistry).

Due to the transition of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, we decided to hold this seminar as HYBRID SEMINAR. This conference will be held collaboratively between Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), Faculty of Biology (FB), and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP - Department of Mathematics Education).

In this seminar, there will be four (4) keynote speakers, some invited speakers, and presenters in parallel sessions.

IConSSE (International Conference on Science and Science Education) is a biennial international seminar held by the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), of which IConSSE 2021 is the fourth event. And the theme of IConsse 2021 is “Integrating Rapid Technology and Whole Person Education in Science and Science Education to Encounter the New Normal Era”.

Due to the ongoing condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to continue to hold this seminar online. By looking at the existing situation, this seminar will be held jointly between the Faculty of Science and Mathematics and UKSW as the host and collaborating with several partner universities as co-hosts.

We already have potential co-hosts, as follows:

In this seminar, there will be two keynote speakers, some invited speakers, and presenters in parallel sessions. The scope of this seminar covers Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technology), Mathematics, and Education (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, ICT).

The full paper submission has been now extended until June 9, 2019.

Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, Indonesia, organized its first International Conference on Science and Science Education, see HERE, in Laras Asri Resort & Spa Salatiga, Indonesia, on 1 August 2015. The 2^nd conference, see HERE, took place in BU UKSW on 30-31 August 2017, as a part of a series of activities commemorating the Faculty’s 25^th anniversary. The 3^rd conference will be held in 20-21 June 2019 under the main theme "Shaping Science for the Industrial Revolution 4.0". The conference is aimed to:

• provide opportunities for experts, students, researchers, industry, and government for collaborative talk and discussion,
• establish relationships and joint research projects in the field of science and science education, and
• disseminate information on the latest developments and research in science and science education.
